Conquering Fansipan Peak has recently become one of the favourite activities for adventurers coming to Sapa. This option is convenient for those experienced climbers. Test your mettle climing the highest peak in Indochina – Fansipan Mountain. From here you can enjoy the incredible view of the Sapa landscape. The summit of Fansipan is accessible all year round, but the best time to make the ascent is from mid-October to mid-November, and again in March.

Day 1: Night train Hanoi – Lao Cai

Pick-up at the hotel 19:30 – 20:00 and transfer to the train station. From here, you take a night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train (soft sleeper with A/C).

Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa

Train arrival at Lao Cai train station early morning, pick-up and transfer by shared bus to Sapa (35km – 1 hour drive). More info from the guide about the trek upon arrival in Sapa. Remainder of the day is for free exploration. Overnight stay in Sapa at Cat Cat Hotel.

Day 3: Sapa – Fansipan Trekking

At 09:00 travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall for short walk and photos. Next is drive further to Heaven Gate. From there possible stunning view of Fansipan – the highest peak of the Indochina mountains. The Fansipan trek is relaxed until lunch time.After a couple of hours hiking, break at a nice spot in the forest for a good picnic lunch, followed by a climb towards the camp-site.Many opportunities en route to enjoy the scenery and magnificent view over Sapa and the beautiful landscapes of Lai Chau province. Arrival at camp-site at 2900m late in the afternoon. Time to relax and enjoy a well-prepared dinner.

Day 4: Fansipan Trekking

After breakfast, continued climbing to the top, to celebrate hike victory. From there, enjoy the best view of stunning nature. A descent follows, stop on the way for picnic lunch. After lunch, the tough trek continues all the way downhill through the rain-forest, requiring great concentration, step by step, to the camp-site at 2.700m. Another overnight stay in tents.

Day 5: Fansipan – Sapa – Lao Cai. Night train to Hanoi

After a long sleep, enjoy the fresh air and wild nature. Before heading back to civilization, trek downhill through the well-protected forest and after a couple of hours hiking, stop for picnic lunch. Continue descending toward Sin Chai village and stop at the village for a while before driving back to Sapa town. Here there is time for shower, relaxing and celebrating your feat.
In the afternoon, departure by bus to Lao Cai train station to catch the night train back to Hanoi. Arrival in Hanoi next morning, where the tour ends.
